When you hear the words folk dance, you might imagine a circle of villagers or a square dance called out in a community hall. But folk traditions live in unexpected places—like sports stadiums.

The Savannah Bananas baseball team has become famous not just for their game but for their performances. Between innings, players break into choreographed dances and familiar steps, often set to popular music. These are movements the crowd already knows from their own lives, which makes the performance instantly relatable and participatory.
